About Us

We are a small, but growing consulting firm dedicated to improving education by increasing and improving the engagement of parents.  We support everyone and anyone involved in the process be they teacher, parent, principal, superintendent, or other.  Mostly, and primarily, we support the success of each and every student. We believe parents are the most significant determining factor to student success, and that every student deserves success.  Therefore, our work centers on drawing all adult participants into the unified purpose of working together for the sake of improving education for ALL students in their community.
Whether on the phone, through emails, or in person, you will see that we are passionately dedicated to our work - helping you improve parent engagement in your community.  You will usually find us fun to work with, positive, and generally facilitative.  The work we do is innovative and unconventional, and so is the thinking behind it.   We intentionally do not set the pace, force feed knowledge, or choose a direction.  Instead, we foster your process of improvement and encourage your growth as individuals, teams, and organizations.

Established in 2005

First established under Leading to Your Success, the work of Parent Engagement Solutions incorporated a wide variety of services to help support both school improvement and parenting success.  Finally, in 2015, the need for a single path became obvious and PES was created.

Seeing the need for both parents and schools to employ the Five Elements of community success, our mission to serve both schools and parents became centered on the need to unify them.  The natural differences in their perspectives created division.  What was needed was a more open and inclusive dialogue to bridge the gaps of ignorance.  So, we began teaching the Five Elements in order to draw all parties toward a single purpose - engaging parents for the sake of improving the success of all students.

The work evolved into two types of service.  We provide Remote Services to all clients because they may be anywhere in the U.S. and in need of an answer right away.  We also know well the value of being present.  So we also provide On-Site Services which include traveling to be there in town.  This allows us to get a firsthand experience of the community, meet with stakeholders directly, attend meetings, and learn by experience what would otherwise be missed.

Our Vision, Mission, and Goal

Our Vision - What We See
There is a desperate need for schools to successfully involve parents as full-time, unpaid, dedicated, and competent partners in the process of increasing student success.  While most people on both sides want this, there is an obvious and significant lack of parent involvement in most U.S. schools.

Our Mission - What We Do
We respond to this need by serving the unique, local goals of individuals, groups, schools, and districts through teaching, training, and facilitating strategic increases in the use of The Five Elements of Community Building.

Our Goal - What We Achieve
By introducing, educating, implementing, and establishing the use of the Five Elements, we foster the perpetual successes of Legacy Solutions whereby increased parent engagement in Year One delivers persistent increases each year thereafter, eventually building a community where high levels of parent engagement are both expected and realized.
